Job purpose
Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the property as directed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role
1 Deal with day to day miscellaneous issues as directed by the Chief Engineer and items highlighted in the Daily Maintenance Book.
2 To be pro-active in problem solving regarding maintenance issues ensuring that the property and fabric of the hotel are maintained to the highest standard and guest satisfaction.
3. To assist with special projects as requested i.e. refurbishment of the hotel.
4. To assist with general maintenance duties.
5. To have general all round skills including joinery, plumbing, electrical and painting and decorating.
6. To have full knowledge of Fire & Safety procedures and to be responsible for the evacuation of guests and staff from the hotel in the event of a fire or a bomb alert in accordance with the fire procedures laid down.
7. To be fully conversant with the rules of conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.

1. Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employee handbook and induction booklet.
2. Comply with company appearance and uniform standards.
3. Comply with timekeeping and attendance policies.
4. Actively participate in training and development programs and maximise opportunities for self-development.
5. Ensure all Merlin training is completed as required
